The Marimekko Seireeni cushion features an abstract motif designed by Maija Isola in 1964. She created the pattern after a trip to Greece, where she felt inspired by the movements of the sea. The name of the pattern, which translates to “siren”, is a reference to Greek mythology: sirens were creatures thought to lure sailors to shipwreck with their beautiful singing. 

The cushion cover has a hidden zipper on one side. Marimekko cushions are sewn using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique.
