These pretty egg cups are made of brown stoneware, which is dishwasher, oven, microwave, and freezer proof. The set includes two egg cups, one with the Alku pattern and one with the Unikko pattern. Presented in a Marimekko branded box.
Each egg cup measures 4.7cm tall.
The bean-like shapes in the Alku (beginning) design represent seeds which grow into magnificent, vigorous flowers. Marimekko's famous poppy pattern 'Unikko' was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. She wanted to create something interesting so designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
