Blunt x Misery Metro Umbrella

One of New Zealand’s most beloved female artists, Misery  (Tanja Jade McMillan), has again collaborated with BLUNT  umbrellas to bring you this design inspired by Lunar New Year and with visual reference to Tanja’s  Chinese heritage. The umbrella features bright white rabbits  relaxing and skipping over calm flowing waters as a nod to the  Year of the Water Rabbit in 2023. 

True to her signature style the design includes a black canopy  with bright pops of colour bringing to life the rabbits, goldfish  and vibrant blossoming Lotus flowers amongst the flowing  waters, creating a striking design for the new year.  Of her design Tanja says, ‘I love the Chinese symbology around  rabbits, they are peaceful souls representing mercy, beauty,  elegance and sensitivity. There are a few iconic Misery Carrot  and Daikon characters hiding around the umbrella also adding  a bit of fun and humour to the design.’

The Metro features an auto-open canopy to easily open with the push of a button and collapses to slide neatly into a carry sleeve. Compact in size, you can whip your BLUNT out of your handbag and be prepared in any weather. 

All BLUNT umbrellas come with a two year warranty. Tested in winds up to 88kmh so they can survive in windy Wellington! Designed in New Zealand.
