Returns Policy

What is your return policy if I buy online?

We want you to feel great about your purchases from Bolt of Cloth.  If for any reason you are unhappy with your online order you may return it for a refund*.  We will refund the amount of your purchase less a $5 charge for shipping and handling.  You will be responsible for the cost of return post and packaging and returns must be received within 14 days of purchase. We can only provide refunds on fabric and products if they are returned in the same condition and in the original packaging as when it was sent to you.

If you intend to return an item, please email us at or call us on 03 389 5203 so we can discuss next steps and provide the correct address for your return.  If a return is required as a result of our mishandling or a fault with the product, we will cover postage but only by prior agreement, so please get in touch before you return the goods.

*We are unable to offer returns on sale items, wallpaper, products ordered on your behalf or any custom made items.


What is your In Store Returns Policy?

We do not offer refunds for any purchases made in our physical stores however you may exchange your purchase for any other in store item within  2 weeks of the original purchase.  Cut fabric, items purchased on sale and custom made or ordered in items (such as wallpaper) can not be returned or exchanged.

We can only offer exchanges on products returned in the same condition in which they were sold.


Can I return something you custom make for me?

We do not offer returns on custom made items so please ensure you choose carefully. We want you to feel completely satisfied with your final product so we are happy to send you samples and assist in anyway. Click here to request a sample.


Can I return Wallpaper?

Unfortunately as this is order on your behalf we are unable to offer returns or exchanges on wallpaper so please choose carefully. We are able offer samples of Florence Broadhurst and Paperhands wallpapers to make the process easier.
